In the fierce world of boxing, Billy Bird, a British boxer, stands tall with a record-breaking 138 knockouts. Hot on his heels is the tenacious Archie Moore, the longest-reigning World Light Heavyweight Champion, with 132 knockouts. Closely following them, William Lawrence Stribling Jr. boasted 129 knockouts.
Billy Bird’s career lasted 28 years, during which time he fought 356 (260 wins, 73 loses, 20 draws, and 3 no contests) recorded professional matches, although it was rumored that he had even more unrecorded non-professional fights. This made him one of the most active boxers of his time.
Bird’s record is so impressive that it is believed that the record of 138 knockouts will never be repeated, let alone broken since the record for most knockouts by the current active boxer is 51.
