Organized Team Activities play an important part in preparing the team for the upcoming season. OTAs are training sessions that usually take place from late April to mid-June, differing from leagues and teams. This is the off-season period when new players officially become part of the team and act in that capacity.
Players new to the teams start taking lectures and attending seminars that the NFL has organized in advance to prepare them before entering the field, while veteran players use this time to promote football camps to the youth and enjoy free off-season time.
